Sherwood Brewing Company turns 16 this year and we’re looking for a new kitchen leader to facilitate the efficient running of our from scratch kitchen. Must ensure the continuing profitability of the restaurant through inventory control, presentation, sanitation, and food quality.

NO BULLSHIT like scheduling or personnel management.
5 day work week ( Tues-Sat) up to 40 hours.

-Commercial kitchen management experience preferred.
-Experience in restaurant food preparation and cooking is required.
-Current Food Service Manager and Allergen certification required or must be obtained within 14 days of hire.
-Outgoing, friendly personality a MUST.
-Must be clean and neat in appearance.
-Must be organized, self-motivated, efficient, and responsible.
-Must successfully complete training provided by employer.
-Reliable transportation.
-Ability to clearly communicate with guests and other team members.
-Flexible in scheduling and open to working on days off per management request.
-Must be punctual.

The following is not intended to be a comprehensive listing of job responsibilities:

-Ensure that all menu items are made according to recipe in the required manner. Utilize food production and inventory control tools available to support this responsibility.

-Maintain a working knowledge of all recipes, products and production procedures.

-Ensure established standards of food safety and sanitation are maintained in compliance with county health department and other guidelines and regulations.

-Assist with the purchase food and non food products when needed.

-Oversee correct receipt, storage, rotation, and handling of food products and ensure quality and freshness at all times.

-Maintain inventory lists and supply needs.

-Prepare foods using various commercial cooking equipment following all Standard Operating Procedures and safeguards.

-Maintain the pantry, walk in and freezer spaces so all items are rotated, organized and well labeled.

-Closely follow ALL cleaning schedules.

-Facilitate consistent warewashing throughout the day.

-Communicate food product needs with management as shortages or other needs arise.

-Monitor food holding/serving temperatures throughout work day.

-Must be able to lift 50lbs.
-Must be able to reach, bend, and stoop.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $42,000.00 – $52,000.00 per year
